FAQ
Digital Wallpapers & Icons
Are icons for both Android and iOS?
YES! All files are in PNG format and, so long as you’ve updated to iOS 14 (or higher), will work just fine regardless of the device you use.
What are the dimensions of the wallpapers?
All wallpaper files are 2160 x 3840. These fit most devices without issue (smartphones, ipads, laptops and desktops). If the sizing is simply not compatible with your device, contact: shelley@barkandbone.ca
What if I don't see an icon I want to use?
Let me know! You’re more than welcome to submit your icon requests to:
shelley@barkandbone.ca
Why are the wallpapers available in so many options?
Because choice! We’ve been designing these kinds of things long enough to know that some people like their imagery higher on their screens and some like them centered. Artwork is designed to “play nice” with your icons so that you can still appreciate your favorite breeds without them being buried in nonsense.
Can I print your wallpapers?
NOOOO! Wallpapers and icons were created in modes and settings designed for digital display only. Printable files are significantly larger and are set up differently than those used in digital spaces. Attempting to print these out is likely to result in sh*tty, pixelated art.
That’s why our wall art is available as physical and digital print files.

Prints (Digital & Physical)
Why is everything square?
Dogs come in all shapes, sizes and bone structures. This format allows for all breeds to be appreciated at a consistent size. Plus, it lets you create your own bone-chilling gallery wall since square prints are perfectly and conveniently stackable.

What if my print arrives damaged or I receive the wrong item?
Sometimes, despite our best efforts, your print takes a hit during its journey. If it shows up looking more like modern art than the masterpiece you ordered, please email: shelley@barkandbone.ca and use EXCHANGE REQUEST in the subject line.
To speed up the process, please let us know your order number. If your order was damaged, our supplier requires photographic proof of your damaged print. They'll take the necessary precautions to ensure your new print arrives safely.
If you received the wrong print, please let us know what you wanted - including the breed, color of print (light or dark), etc.
What about duties and taxes?
Before your print crosses borders and reaches your door, be aware that customs may impose duties, taxes, or VAT depending on your location. These fees aren’t covered by us and are your responsibility, so brace yourself for potential extra costs. Since customs policies vary by country, we recommend checking with your local authorities to avoid any surprises. If your print is temporarily held hostage, just remember—it’ll be worth it once it’s on your wall!
About Dogs
Do you hate mixed breeds? Why don’t I see any on your site?
WHOA! NOT FAIR. We seriously love all dogs! However, the artwork on this site was created using real breed skulls, skeletons and images as references where possible. The physical variability in mixed breeds makes it literally impossible to accurately depict mixed breed dogs.
However, we occasionally open our doors to custom orders. Mixed breeds welcome! SEE NEXT FAQ.
Do you do custom orders?
We occasionally open the doors to custom prints at select times of the year. This is where we use your photos and lay a skeleton overtop for a custom poster of your own dog. Mixed breeds welcome! These poster drives are announced through social media and to our email subscribers. Snag yourself a free wallpaper through the pop-up on this site, and we'll send you the deets when doors open!
My favorite breed isn’t part of your line up? Will you be adding more?
WE AIM TO ADD NEW BREEDS WEEKLY. Visit our "request a breed" page to bring your favorite skeleton to life.
I'm interested in personalizing a print. Why do you need to know if my dog is male or female?
Well…accuracy matters, even in the world of bones. Male dogs sport something called a baculum (yep, a crotch bone). If you take a closer look at some of our art, you’ll notice a few dogs showing it off proudly. So, unless you want to give your girl dog an unexpected ‘bone,’ it’s best we get the details right. ;)
