⚙️How to Order
1️⃣ Select your size (S - 3XL). Hoodies fit true to size. Check the sizing chart before you order.
2️⃣ Choose your favorite breed or pre-order a new one. Select "Not Listed" if it's not there and use the box to indicate which breed you'd like [blue box].
3️⃣ Select your dog's gender.
4️⃣ Under "Anything else you'd like us to know?" [red box], use this section for literally anything eise.
Such as:
"My dog is docked but not cropped."

"My dog is a GSD mix but looks like a Husky." In this case, choose Husky from the breed dropdown. Unless you mention otherwise, your hoodie will have a Husky image with the text "German Shepherd Mix."

Each hoodie is made to order. That means once production starts, we can’t make edits, cancellations, or refunds.
You are encouraged to reach out before you order if you have questions regarding imagery or sizing.

✅ Spell your dog’s name correctly (trust us on this one).
If you spot an error before production begins, email us immediately. We’ll try to catch it.

We searched high and low to find a slogan that was generic enough for every breed, but specific enough for yours.
This isn’t just a slogan — it’s a line in the sand.
Bark & Bone honors what’s coded in your dog’s DNA: the drive to herd, track, guard, chase, or dig in with the same grit their predecessors had.
Every hoodie reppin’ a breed here is a nod to that lineage — not to watered-down versions of what these animals were built to do.

HELP! My breed isn't on your list! Can I request it?
Yes!
We’ve got roughly 60 breeds on site—and another 60+ waiting in the closet. Didn’t spot your favorite? Request it now and you’ll be the first to unlock it!
There's space on the order page to add any breed that's not listed.
It will then be created as a pre-order.
A few rules:
Any new breeds created as part of this offer are NOT custom.
We reserve the right to continue selling this image as part of future breed releases.
In the event we create a new breed for you, please allow a little extra time to receive your order.
Purebred dogs only, please. See the next FAQ if you're the proud owner of a mixed-breed dog.
What if my bestie's a mixed-breed dog?
The hoodie launch window is for purebred dogs only.
But, there are a couple of options:
1) If you have a mixed breed that closely resembles a recognized breed, you can select the close match and request a personalization tweak.
Eg, instead of selecting “German Shepherd,” select "Not listed" and type “German Shepherd Mix” in the space provided. In the “Anything else you’d like us to know?” box, tell us a bit about your mixed pup.
2) Consider a custom X-ray of your bestie.
Yes, you'll be able to get your very own dog's X-ray on a hoodie!
Mixed breeds welcome.
Can I change the artwork?
Nope.
Each breed’s design is final and can't be altered beyond basic edits, such as gender, docking, and cropping.
However, you can add your dog’s name for a personal touch.

Hell yes.
Your breed, your dog's gender, and/or your dog’s name — make it yours.
What's sizing like?
Hoodies are UNISEX.
They fit true to size. If you prefer a baggier fit, size up.
For reference: I'm 4'11 (yes, the height of a garden gnome) and about 130 lbs. I ordered a M because I wanted it baggy (and it is). I could have ordered S (my usual unisex size) but am happy with the roomier fit.

Why do you need to know whether my dog is male or female?
Well…accuracy matters, even in the world of bones. Male dogs sport something called a baculum (yep, a crotch bone). If you take a closer look at some of our art, you’ll notice a few dogs showing it off proudly. So, unless you want to give your girl dog an unexpected ‘bone,’ it’s best we get the details right. ;)
Where do you ship and how much does it cost?
Hoodies will ship worldwide using flat rates (in CAD).
USA: $10.99
Canada: $16.99
International: $18.99 - $22.99

Why does a Canadian business ship hoodies from the U.S.?
This was a hard decision to make.
I originally explored Canadian suppliers (trust me on that), but the pricing (even considering the crummy exchange on the Canadian dollar), print options, and customs considerations made things complicated. Hoodies require a very specific production setup:
- Made-to-order printing (no bulk inventory, no minimums)
- High-detail print quality to capture all the bones and fluff
- Reliable cross-border shipping
- No extra customs fees for customers (for apparel destined for Canada or the U.S.)
- Fast turnaround for U.S. customers (over 70% of my customer base is south of the border)
Bulk orders — including traditional screen printing — weren’t an option for my shop. If I could print 500 Doberman hoodies and expect them all to sell, that would be one thing, but offering the diversity of breeds that I do requires a different strategy. I needed a fulfillment partner that could print one hoodie at a time, on demand, with consistent quality. You get whatever breed your heart desires, and I get to work with a trustworthy fulfillment partner.
My U.S. print partner offers:
- Premium Digisoft printing that keeps the skeleton artwork sharp
- No minimums (I can produce 1 hoodie or 100 with no bulk commitment)
- Consistent fabric quality
- Smooth cross-border delivery between Canada and the U.S.(regarding recent and evolving customs regulations) remains a serious consideration
So while I’m still proudly Canadian, I work with the supplier that provides the best quality, best flexibility, and best customer experience — even if that means crossing a border.
Will I be charged customs or import fees?
Possibly.
Orders shipped outside Canada or the U.S. may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or local handling fees once they reach your country.
These charges are determined by your local customs office and are the responsibility of the recipient.
We don’t have control over these costs (and we don’t collect them at checkout), so we recommend checking your country’s import policies if you’re unsure.
How long will it take to receive my hoodie?
All hoodies are made to order.
Please allow 5-10 business days for your hoodie to be produced and an additional 5-15 business days for shipping.
Yes - it will take a while to receive your product.
We would get it to you faster if we could, but it'll be worth the wait!
What are they made of and how do I care for it?
Hoodies are 80% Cotton | 20% Recycled Polyester.
Machine wash cold. Tumble dry low. Do not iron directly on the print.
If you're obsessed with keeping your printed hoodie looking fresh:
Wash it inside out in cold water on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent, avoiding bleach and fabric softeners.
Heat is your enemy!
Always air-dry or tumble dry on the lowest heat setting, and if ironing is necessary, do so inside out without directly heating the print.
What is your refund/exchange policy?
If you notice a mistake (or simply change your mind), please reach out as soon as possible.
If your request is received before the hoodie goes into production, alterations can still be made and refunds can be issued.
Because hoodies are made to order, refunds or cancellations cannot be issued once your order has entered production.
Replacements or refunds are only offered in cases of a confirmed error on my end or a manufacturing defect.

Can I exchange my hoodie for a different size?
Because hoodies are made to order, I’m not able to offer size exchanges once production has started. Each hoodie is printed specifically for you, which means a new size requires creating a completely new garment.
If you realize you need a different size, please email shelley@barkandbone.ca as soon as possible.
If your request is received before your hoodie goes into production, I can still adjust the size for you.
Size-related replacements are only offered if there’s been a confirmed error on my end (for example, if the wrong size was sent).
To help avoid sizing issues, please double-check the size chart before ordering — every brand’s fit is a little different.
